LOH Weekend & Grey Gums

NSW LOH Weekend & Grey Gums Feb 2018

This is an annual event hosted by the Canberra Chapter at Batemans Bay NSW open for all HOG
chapters specifically for LOH riders and pillions with their male partners and friends most welcome
to attend.

We had a good role up of 12 bikes at our meeting point at Seven-11 Pheasants Nest made up of
three lady riders (Sally, Vicki and Alyce), 5 lady pillions (Sylvia, Fiona, Nat, Sarma and Louise) and
9 die hard husbands and male partners or friends who simply did what they were told all weekend.

The ride was led by Sally (DeSal) Zhang via Braidwood down into Batemans Bay; about 260kms.
After checking into the Reef Motor Inn it was off on a further 4kms ride to Corrigan’s Beach Reserve
for the afternoon’s events.

NSW HOG Grey Gums Ride – Sun February 25, 2018

LEAD ROAD CAPTAIN: RALPH GARCIA. SHOTGUN ROAD CAPTAIN: GLENN TURNBULL After much deliberation regarding the weather we decided to go ahead with the ride. The ride left Maccas Thornleigh with 14 riders under very grey and menacing weather. A short ride up the M1 and we then tracked towards the Berowra Waters Ferry. The group then made its way through Arcadia and then onto Scheyville and finally over the Windsor Bridge and onto the Putty Rd.

A short stop to stretch the legs was had at the Colo Riverside café. The weather Gods were still on our side, but it was inevitable that at some stage the heavens would open up. After another short ride we reached our destination at Grey Gums Café, relatively still dry.
